Alban find outs with the Americans the cooperation in the field of human rights and ways to return the Yemeni detainees in Jontanamu to yemen

The minister of human rights Huda Alban discussed with Undersecretary of the Ministry of American Foreign Affairs For Global Affairs and Democracy Paula Dobriansky in Washington and the ways for developing the existing partnership between Yemen and America in general and the areas of democratic development and the rights of Yemeni women in particular. The American official expressed the hope that this visit will contribute to pay the relations of Yemeni-American partnership forward in the areas of freedoms, democracy and human equality between women and men.
For hers part, Dr.Al ban pointed out that political leadership has always encouraged Yemen to establish and disseminate democratic values in the past until now.
Dr.Al ban expressed to the role of political leadership in encouraging women to participate in the political process through increasing the proportion of representation in the forthcoming parliamentary elections to 15 percent.
On the other hand, the minister discussed with the Chief of the Democratic affairs, human rights and international organizations in the U.S. National Security Council in White House, about the Yemeni detainees in Guantanamo and the ways to return their to Yemen. U.S. official also listened to the role which is played by the Ministry of Human Rights in improving the status of prisons and prisoners.
